Shabby and Vintage

I must admit I believe shabby and vintage is my favorite type of cards and tags to make.  Why?  I don't really know except I like the look and feel...
This card I made this evening I will be putting in two challenges, Word Art Wednesday  Challenge #104 Anything Goes. And also over at House of Cards Month Four: Shabby and Vintage.
I began by folding a 11 1/2 x 8 1/2 sheet of pale yellow card stock. I then layered a green piece of card stock, and  topped that with white card stock. My top layers are from The Paper Studio from the paper stack called Mirabelle..

I cut and distressed the edges with my scissors, the color was like a pale rust.  The next layer,  I layered horizontal was a deeper rust,  I would call a rust red. Again distressing with scissors.I kept layering, finishing off with a flag cut freehand with the deeper red rust color.

I had a lace flower I had made and distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink Vintage Photo, I added a onyx type button from LeBouton, and a stick pin I made of different gem beads. Used the hot glue gun to add on.
To add a little extra bling I added some half pearls in white.

Thanks for looking.. xoxo Patti

Black and White Cards

My card today is Black and White. I believe this is my first black and white ever. Ingredients I used we're my Cuttlebug Folder from Anna Griffin called Christmas Holly Damask. I used white card stock as my base, topped with a heavy black card stock and topped that with my embossed folder. The snowflakes we're cut from Paper Studio Vellum using the Kate Snowflake die from Simon Says Stamps.I also used double sided tape and Kay Kraft PVA glue. I am entering this in challenges at Pile It ON pile it on#43 Embellishment Crazy, and over at Cuttlebug Mania Black and White.
Please enjoy.  Hugs..Patti
